Hydravend
Colex Hydravend is a multi-layer food quality flexible Hose manufactured from flexible PVC with a Hytrel® Polyester Elastomer liner.
The PVC and Hytrel® Polyester Elastomer materials are approved for food contact applications in Europe and USA.
It has been tested in accordance with BS6920 and has achieved WRAS approval for the conveyance of cold and hot potable water up to 85°C. (WRAS listing number 0902503)
- Good chemical resistance
- Good oil resistance
Applications
Hot and cold potable water connections to free standing machines, chemical lines, and some liquid foodstuffs. It can also be used for dosing lines, water softeners and filtration systems.
Chemical Resistance
The liner has a very good chemical resistance and will safely convey many chemicals, and chemical solutions in water. It also has a good resistance to oils. For more detailed information see our chemical resistance chart.
Colour
The standard hose has a black liner, which acts as an effective light barrier, a white inner layer and a white cover. However, other colours can be made to customer requirements; all orders are subject to minimum order quantities.
Temperature *
Temperature range –20°C to +85°C
