Convoluted PTFE Tube

Convoluted PTFE

Convoluted PTFE offers all the same great qualities as regular PTFE, but with the added advantage of a very good flexlife and improved bend radius.

Convoluted PTFE is desirable for those applications where there is a need for both flexibility and versatility, such as the transport of liquids and gases for the food, drug or chemical industries.

Applications

  • Transport of harsh chemicals
  • Transport of nutrients
  • Painting and printing equipment
  • Abrasion protection
  • Welding electrode guide tubing
  • Electrical insulation
  • Analytical instruments
  • Environmental monitoring equipment
  • Heat exchangers
  • Component covering
  • Protecting electrical cables in the aerospace industry
  • Marine, pharmaceutical & food industries
  • Convoluted PTFE is used more and more in demanding industrial applications where there are problems with vibration, corrosion, weight, friction, ageing, moisture and temperature

Features & Benefits

  • Size Range: From 3mm ID to 33mm ID
  • Colours: Natural and Black (Also available in antistatic)
  • Can be supplied cuffed to allow fittings to be attached
  • Temperatures Range -200°C to +260°C
  • Known for its ability to operate at the widest temperature range while retaining both its flexibility and its integrity
  • Offers excellent resistance against ageing, low permeability & excellent friction co-efficient
  • Produced without any plasticisers, it will not work harden in use or contaminate items it is used to convey
  • Non-stick properties allow it to convey viscous, sticky materials without resultant blockages

Chemical Resistance

  • The material is almost inert and therefore it can be used with most industrial chemicals and solvents
  • It can handle virtually any of the corrosive materials in use today
