PureHose Pf (PHPF)
For many years the standard construction of hoses for medical gas applications was plasticized PVC with a conductive inner layer.
The conductivity was incorporated due to the explosive nature of some of the anaesthetic gasses being used when the product was initially developed. However, things have now evolved.
Modern anaesthetic gasses are now virtually inert therefore the risk of explosion has been considerably reduced. This coupled with a growing concern over the potential vaporisation and subsequent inhalation of phthalates has resulted in the development of this new phthalate & PVC free hose, PureHose Pf.
If you are looking for a product that fulfils all the current and future requirements for medical gas hoses, PureHose Pf is that product.
- PureHose Pf is designed to be fully compliant with all the most recent specifications and conforms to BS EN ISO 5359:2008.
- All the materials used are USP VI compliant and have FDA 175.105. food contact approvals. This easily exceeds the currently used hoses in terms of the material suitability.
- PureHose Pf hose does not contain plasticizer of any form, it does not work harden and will not expose patients to any potentially harmful phthalate vapours.
- The material is designed to be used in areas that require static dissipation. As such all the mating surfaces are made from ESD material with a surface resistivity of 1.1E11 Ω/Sq when tested to ASTMD 257.This level is more than sufficient to prevent any risk promoting static build up.
- PureHose Pf also has superior abrasion resistance and operating temperature range and has excellent gas barrier properties.
PureHose Pf can also be manufactured with a wipe down cover that contains a slow release antimicrobial agent resistant to many hospital borne bacteria's including MRSA, E.coli, Listeria, Salmonella, Aspergillus Niger and Pseudomonas. - Are available in 30 metre coils ex-stock
- Can be supplied in cut lengths
- Can be supplied on 150m drums for cutting down by pendant
