Draw-Flex™ Dual Containment System (DF)
Draw-Flex™ is a cost effective system, offering the water treatment and handling industry the benefits of a ready made Dual Containment Hose at a significantly lower cost.
The current market offers the customer two common options:
1. A ready-made Dual Containment Hose available in the long runs that is attractive to both the contractors and end users, but which is not only prohibitively expensive, but in many cases has a carrier (inner) hose over-specified for the application.
2. Shorter lengths of more standard products, which although much less expensive, leaves the contractors having the job of threading the carrier (inner) hose and the additional cost of using multiple catch-pots due to length and safety issues.
Draw-Flex™ offers the advantages of both options with none of the negative aspects.
The Containment Tube (outer), as with the current ready made product, is made from an FDA approved PVC material. However, our Containment tube comes with a pre-threaded stainless steel wire to enable the carrier tube to be simply pulled through.
This system is easily assembled using equipment readily available on the vast majority of sites and installations and is capable of being tailored to meet the specific demands of the job in hand.
In addition to the above points, with Draw-Flex™, if the Containment Tube is damaged or compromised in any way, it can be replaced without the need to replace the carrier Hose, thus offering potential saving on costs further down the line.
This Containment Tube is currently available in three sizes, which are capable of accommodating the most popular sizes of carrier (inner) Hoses and are available in lengths of up to 450m as standard.
The carrier (inner) is available in a range of materials to ensure that chemical compatibility requirements are met but at the most economical prices.
The Carrier Hose range consists of: 1
- PTFE – a Fluoropolymer Tube
- NeuVend™ - a WRAS approved Phthalate free Hose
- Hydravend – a WRAS approved Hytrel lined PVC Hose
- RP – an FDA approved flexible Reinforced PVC hose.
All available in lengths to match the Containment Hose. 2

Applications
The Draw-Flex™ Dual Containment System is used where additional protection is required to ensure no contamination to the environment or to the product, Chemical Dosing, Chemical Transfer and Water Treatment.

Pressures: Values stated are based on the short term burst pressure at 20°C. Any increase in temperature above 20°C will result in a decline in burst pressures.
