Most of the PVC hoses we manufacture, are sold into applications via distributors and stockists which are mainly factory compressed air and water applications. Our PVC hoses can also be used where there is food contact, and in some cases Colex can make special hoses from brewery approved materials for beer and soft drinks dispensing applications.

Long lengths on drums. Normally used in applications where hose fittings need to be kept to a minimum, which in turn minimises the risk of leakages where environmentally sensitive chemicals are used. Vendhose - a reinforced EVA hose with an inner PE liner, used in applications where the hose does not impart any taint, taste or odour to the media being carried by the hose. Standard PVC hoses stocked in colours. Normal applications such as air and water colours are used for colour coding/identification.

Where certain aggressive chemicals are in use, then we can offer our standard polyurethane hoses, but we would require full details on the chemicals in use, pressures and ambient temperatures. In addition we can also offer solutions by custom manufacture of our PE/EVA and Hytrel lined PVC hoses subject to minimum order quantities.

Polyurethane hoses - used in offshore umbilical applications. Heavy Wall PVC Hose - used in breathing air applications where the heavy wall section reduces the risk of crushning and decreasing airflow.

Our range in these types of chemical applications is extended by the addition of our new products such as the 20 Bar Rubber Alloy, Silicone hoses, TPR & Hytrel lined PVC hoses, and the Reinforced Polyurethane/PVC alloy RPUA hoses. These would be offered if price was a factor in relation to the costs of standard polyurethane hoses.

Ribbed Polyurethane Hoses - hoses are designed with external and internal ribs to reduce the drag effect of polyurethane. Ribbed Polyurethane Hoses - used in cable water cooling systems, external ribs reduce drag effect and lower abrasion risk.

Colex also manufacture lo friction polyurethane sheathing for use in hydraulic hose bundles, plus anti static Polyurethane hoses for applications such as electrostatic powder spraying . Our PE lined hoses are normally used in paintspray applications. Our polyurethane hoses have also been used in applications where metal inserts and similar are transmitted down the inside diameter, PU handles this type of application extremely well due to the materials resistance to abrasion and vibration. Our latest addition is a PE inner tube covered with TPR reinforced outer cover.

Polyurethane Sheathing - used in hydraulic hose bundling, also used as a containment hose to reduce the risk of hydraulic oil spillage. The sheath is manufactured with a lo drag additive thus increasing ease of hose bundling at the assembly stage. Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) Hose with PE Inner Liner - used in applications where aggresive chemicals are in being conveyed.
