  • Fluoropolymer tubing is one of the most versatile engineering materials available and is recognised for its excellent resistance to heat and its flexibility, even at very low temperatures.
  • It is almost universally inert to industrial chemicals and solvents and can handle virtually any corrosive material in use today.
  • There is low permeability of tube contents.
  • Fluoropolymer tubing has non-stick properties which allow it to convey viscous, sticky materials without blocking the tube. It has the lowest co-efficient of friction of any solid material.
  • The material is extremely durable and offers excellent resistance against ageing.
  • Fluoropolymer tubing is non-flammable and has excellent electical and weather resistance.
  • The tubing is made without any plasticiser ensuring that it will not work harden in use.

Construction / Grades
Colex can supply Fluoropolymer tube in the following grades:

PTFE, FEP, PVDF & PFA

Food Use**
The raw materials used have FDA approval for use in food contact applications.

Temperatures**
PTFE -200C to +260C
FEP -200C to +200C

Pressures**
Values stated are based on the short term burst pressure of PTFE & FEP at 20C
Note: Any increase in temperature above 20C will result in a decline in burst pressures.

Tolerances**
Tube OD 4mm - 10mm   ±0.1mm
Tube OD 12mm   ±0.2mm

Packaging**
PTFE & FEP tube is supplied in 25 metre coils as standard. Coils of 50 & 100 metres are available on request.

Chemical Resistance**
Fluoropolymer tubing is inert to almost all chemicals and solvents. For more detailed information please contact the Colex Sales Office.
