| Colex Silicone hose and tubing
has the ability to withstand extreme temperature
variations. It also has good electrical and
weatherability properties and is ideal for food,
beverage and a wide range of industrial
applications. All Colex
Silicone hose and tubing is manufactured from raw
materials with FDA approval for use with food
contact applications. Silicone hose is odourless,
tasteless and inert which makes it particularly

the ability to self-extinguish making it an
excellent choice for appliances and computers.
A smooth bore ensures excellent
flow rates, whilst the translucent colour allows
for full visibility of the flow of the hose
contents. Silicone is resilient, stretchable and
resistant to compression set.
A flexible design and
lightweight construction creates an excellent
bend radii and permits installation in restricted
spaces, without impeding the flow of the hose
contents.
The Colex Silicone range
contains no sulphur or other acid producing
chemicals. This eliminates the possibility of
staining, corroding or deteriorating any other
materials it comes into contact with.
Silicone hose and tubing is
also resistant to ozone and UV over long periods
of time.
The Colex Silicone range may be
low pressure steam sterilized in-line or
auto-claved at up to 120ºC in a normal
autoclaving cycle. However it should be noted
that when exposed to repeated steam sterilization
or long term high pressure or temperature,
silicone will eventually relax and become gummy.
It should then be replaced.
