Products
The Colex Silv-Ion™ products can be produced in all industry standard sizes for Hose and Tubes.
Protection can be offered on internal or external surfaces, or if necessary throughout the product. In any configuration, the properties of the resulting products will be similar to our standard range of clear flexible PVC Hose and Tubes.

Reinforced Hose
Silv-Ion™ is available with an antimicrobial inner and outer tube reinforced with a high tenacity polyester yarn.
However, if you require protection on the inside of the Hose only, you could choose a product that has a Silv-Ion™ antimicrobial liner 1.
This will give you the necessary protection, without the extra cost of having protection throughout the Hose.
If you require protection on the outside of the Hose only, you could choose a product that just has a Silv-Ion™ antimicrobial cover 2.
As with the liner, this will give you the protection you need, without the cost of also protecting the inside of the hose.
Unreinforced Tube
For applications where pressure is not a requirement, Silv-Ion™ is also available as an unreinforced tube.
An unbraided tube would usually consist of only one layer, however, it is also possible to have Silv-Ion™ antimicrobial protection on just the inner 3, or just the outer 4 of an unbraided Tube.
As with the reinforced product, this will give you the required antibacterial protection, without the added cost of having it throughout the tube.
Of course, there is always the option of a 100% Silv-Ion™ Tube, to defend both the inside and the outside of the tube from harmful microbes.
Overbraided Hose
Our NeuVend Liner is designed for stainless steel over braiding. Adding a smooth Silv-Ion™ skin to the outside of the stainless steel would create a hygienic, wipe clean Tap-Tail 5 suitable for use in Hospitals and a variety of other applications.
The configurations and uses for Silv-Ion™ Antimicrobial Hose and Tube are vast. The options listed above are just some of the things that we can do.
